Detroit Woman Returns Home And Finds 2 Bodies In Her House: Police

Police said investigators do not have a motive, suspects or anything about the incident.

DETROIT — A woman returned to her Detroit home Tuesday only to find two bodies inside, Detroit police Deputy Chief Jacqueline Pritchett told reporters.

The woman told officers she left her home in the 8700 block of DeSoto Street for roughly an hour at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Pritchett said.

When she returned, she found the front door locked and had to climb through the window to get inside the house, Pritchett said.

Once inside, she found the body of someone she did not know at the bottom of the steps leading to the basement, Pritchett said.

Investigators also found a second body in the home's basement, Pritchett said.
