The game is the fourth installment of Major League Baseball's virtual ballpark series. The other three games were: Twins-Rays on Sept. 4, the Reds-Cardinals on Sept. 11 and the Giants-Orioles on Sept. 18.
The Tigers (82-74) entered Tuesday with a one game lead over the Minnesota Twins for the final American League Wild Card. The Tigers must finish at least one game ahead of the Twins to secure the spot because the Twins own the tiebreaker (13-7 in head-to-head matchups).
The Tigers are scheduled to start Keider Montero, who's 6-6 with a 4.86 era on the season. The Rays (78-78) will throw out Zack Littell, who's 8-9 with a 3.56 era on the season.
Fans can also prefer to watch the game as normal through cable, satellite or streaming.
