Michigan Adds 761 Coronavirus Cases Wednesday, Total Tops 99K

MICHIGAN — More than 99,000 cases of the coronavirus have been reported in Michigan as of Wednesday morning, according to data provided by state health officials.

Michigan added 761 new coronavirus cases Wednesday, increasing the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 99,200. Michigan also added seven new coronavirus deaths, bringing the statewide death toll to 6,424.

On Tuesday, Michigan reported 779 new coronavirus cases while adding 20 more deaths.

Michigan ranks 18th in the U.S. in coronavirus cases, according to the World health Organization. The state ranks ninth in the nation in deaths attributed to the virus.

Nearly 6 million coronavirus cases have been reported in the U.S., according to the World Health Organization. The group reports that nearly 183,000 people in the U.S. have died from the virus, while 3.2 million people in the nation have recovered.

According to the World Health Organization, more than 24.2 million cases of the coronavirus have been reported around the world. Over 826,000 people have died from the virus, while more than 16.7 million people have recovered.
