Michigan Adds 829 New Coronavirus Cases Thursday

MICHIGAN — More than 800 new cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in Michigan, according to the most recent data provided by state health officials Thursday.
Michigan reported that 829 new cases of the respiratory illness have been confirmed, bringing the statewide case total in Michigan to 114,692. The state also reported that nine more people have died from COVID-19, increasing the state death toll to 6,632.
Michigan added nearly 700 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. As of Friday, more than 85,000 Michiganders had recovered from the virus.

According to the World Health Organization, Michigan is 17th in the U.S. in reported coronavirus cases It was ranked No. 18 on Wednesday. Michigan is ninth in the nation in deaths being attributed to the virus. It has ranked as high as third in the U.S. in the category.
