Confused? Basically, all you need to know is the teams with the higher percentages are more likely to win it all than the teams with the lower percentages. That means a successful $100 bet on the Yankees to win it all would result in a payout of $700. The payout for the Red Sox and Astros would be $750.

Here are the implied World Series odds for every team, according to Oddschecker:

The Orioles, Marlins, Royals, Tigers and Rangers represent the bottomfeeders this year. In fact, the odds are so low for the Orioles to win it all that you could turn $100 into a new BMW or Cadillac. The Orioles have the worst odds this year with just a 0.2 percent chance. This means that a successful $100 bet on the Orioles would result in the gambler earning a massive payout of just over $40,000.

Perhaps the biggest early storyline this year will be how much newly acquired phenom Bryce Harper will boost the Philadelphia Phillies. According to OddsShark, The Phillies’ World Series odds jumped from 7.69 percent before signing Harper all the way to 10.5 percent after he joined the team.
