Packard Plant Pedestrian Bridge Collapses In Detroit

DETROIT, MI — The well-known Packard Plant pedestrian bridge has collapsed in Detroit.
A photo was tweeted out by HistoricDetroit.org showing the bridge on the east side of the city crumbled along East Grand Boulevard. The site is now blocked off by yellow caution tape.

According to the Free Press, the Albert Kahn-designed plant opened in 1903 as one of the world's most modern factories.
