Police Investigating Detroit Freeway Shooting
Troopers did not report any injuries in the shootings.

DETROIT — Two cars were struck by gunfire on a Detroit freeway early Friday morning, according to Michigan State Police.
The shooting happened eastbound Interstate 96 near Davison at 1:45 a.m. Friday, according to police.
Troopers said a person drove to a nearby police department and said a bullet hit his car while driving on the freeway.

As officers were talking to that person, a second driver came in and said their car was also struck by several rounds of gunfire, according to police.

Troopers did not identify a suspect or a suspected vehicle in the shooting.
"Detectives have determined that one of the drivers was the intended target of this shooting and the second driver was an innocent bystander and their vehicle was struck by a stray bullet," First Lt. Mike Shaw said. "Detectives are asking for anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact 855.MICH.TIP or 800.SPEAK.UP."
