President Joe Biden To Visit Michigan Saturday

The president will make a stop in Michigan as part of his "America's Back Together" tour.

TRAVERSE CITY, MI — President Joe Biden will visit Michigan later this week, the White House announced Monday.

Biden is expected to visit Traverse City as part of a stop on his "America's Back Together" tour, which celebrates the progress the nation has made amid the coronavirus pandemic, the White House said.

Further details regarding the visit were not available Monday, although the White House did say Biden would be joined by Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

The news comes after Vice President Kamala Harris' trip to Detroit to encourage people to receive COVID-19 vaccinations was canceled amid significant flooding in the area following weekend storms.
