Taylor Woman Charged With Murdering Burlington Coat Factory Co-Worker
A 49-year-old Taylor woman is expected to be arraigned Wednesday on a first degree murder charge.

TAYLOR, MI — A Taylor woman has been charged with first degree murder in connection with the shooting death of her Burlington Coat Factory co-worker, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office. Sandra Lynette Waller, 49, will be arraigned Wednesday in Taylor’s 23rd District Court.
She also has been charged with a felony firearm charge.
According to the Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy, Waller shot Lorraine Maylynn Faison, 49, of Allen Park, in the chest after a brief argument at about 7 a.m. Monday at the Burlington store along Eureka Road in Taylor.

When police arrived, they found Waller in the store with a gun in her waistband, Worthy said in a statement. Police were able to secure the gun and take her into custody without incident. The news of Waller's arrest and the shooting surprised Danny Wade, who told a local radio station he was her fiance. In the interview with WWJ-Radio on Monday, Wade said that she’s not a violent person and had never been in trouble with police. Wade said she “avoids all trouble.”
