Teen With Autism Shot, Injured During Argument After Getting Lost In Detroit: Reports
Police said the teen was mistakenly dropped off in Detroit after an Uber error, according to multiple news reports.
DETROIT — An 18-year-old man with a mental disability was shot and critically injured after he got lost on Detroit's east side Wednesday, according to multiple news reports.
Police said Claude Woosk, who has autism, was dropped off at Lenox and Warren in Detroit by an Uber, rather than his home in River Rouge, after the wrong address was somehow put into the Uber app, reports said.
When Woosk realized he was lost, he called a family member who told him to take a photo of where he was so the family member could come and pick him up, reports said.

"He had no weapons on him. No nothing. He even screamed to you guys that he was just lost trying to find his way home," Woosk's sister told Fox 2 Detroit. "He's already in tears because he's special needs as it is."
Woosk was taken to a nearby hospital where he was listed in critical condition, reports said.
Although police said his injuries were not life-threatening, doctors were working to save his kidney and he could eventually become paralyzed, reports said.
Police are investigating the shooting, but did not immediately release any description of any suspect, reports said.
