Michigan Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib is speaking live in Detroit Tuesday morning to address the government shutdown.

DETROIT, MI — Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib is hosting a news conference in Detroit to address the ongoing federal government shutdown.
The Michigan Democrat's office said Tlaib will be joined by community members and advocates to "put a human face on the impact of a government shutdown."
Tlaib first made national headlines for being the first Palestinian-American woman sworn into U.S. Congress. Then she quickly gained more attention by using profanity to call for the impeachment of President Donald Trump.
