Wayne County Man Steals Car, Leads Police Chase To Detroit Casino: MSP
Police said there were no injuries in the incident.
DETROIT — A Wayne County man was arrested after stealing a car and leading officers on a chase that ended at a Detroit casino, according to Michigan State Police.
Officers spotted the car, which was reported stolen out of Southgate, at a gas station near 8 Mile Road and Glastonbury at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to police.
Michigan State Police’s helicopter, Trooper 2, started following the car after a man got into it and drove away, according to police.

Police said the man then "intentionally" rammed into another car. No one was injured in that crash, according to police.
When officers caught up to the man, they tried stopping him, but he sped away, according to police.

Officers followed the car to the MGM Hotel parking garage, where casino security helped them find the man, according to police.
Officers then arrested the 39-year-old Van Buren Township man in connection with the stolen car and chase. Charges were pending at the prosecutor's office, according to police.
