Give the gift of life Jan. 16, during a blood drive sponsored by the Southeastern Michigan branch of the American Red Cross at the Costick Center, 28600 W. 11 Mile Rd. in Farmington Hills.

January, National Blood Donor Month, is historically a difficult time to collect donations due to the cold weather and the demands of the New Year. Blood donations are used for emergency and trauma care, surgeries, and the treatment of serious diseases.
