Sophomore Carter O’Driscoll’s “ugly sweater” design for YouTube was licensed by the company, which then shipped 100 custom sweaters to Farmington High and another 300 to employees, turning a classroom assignment into a real-world creative success story.
   

• 93-year-old man credits woman's quick CPR action with saving his life at YMCA (wxyz.com) — A 93-year-old Farmington Hills man is alive today thanks to a fellow member’s quick CPR at the Farmington Hills YMCA. After Russ Loomis collapsed during a workout, Melissa Gedrich used training she’d completed just five days earlier, aided by YMCA staff and an AED, inspiring renewed calls for neighbors to learn lifesaving CPR skills.
