Kristina Franchi
Kristina Franchi recently graduated from Farmington High School and has plans to attend Oakland University in the fall. Having been first runner-up for Miss Farmington last year, this will be the third time she has competed in a pageant. Â
Not only does she enjoy watching television shows on TLC, such as Toddlers and Tiaras and Extreme Couponing, Franchi also keeps busy working about 30 hours a week at a local insurance agency.
Franchi believes she will stand out from the other girls because she is older and a lot taller than a majority of them. She really enjoys the community service aspect of the pageant as well.

“We do a lot of activities with kids, and I love those. We roasted s’mores with some kids at a campout recently, and that was fun because there were so many kids running around so excited. It’s a great experience to be a part of that,” Franchi said.
It is also very important to Franchi to stay true to herself, she said.

“I don’t want to go to the pageant and have people not recognize me. I’m all about being who I am. I usually don’t wear very much makeup. I want people to know who I am, and recognize me for who I am,” said Franchi. Â
