Oakland County Man Fires Shots At Wife, Locks Self Inside Home: Police
A woman told officers that her husband was drunk and fired shots at her inside an Oakland County home over the weekend, according to police.

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI — A man is facing charges after firing shots at his wife and then locking himself inside an Oakland County home Saturday night, according to police.
Paul Holland, 44, of Farmington Hills, was charged with felonious assault, discharging a firearm in a building and two counts of felony firearm. He was placed in the Oakland County Jail with a $250,000 bond. His next court date is Dec. 11.
The incident happened Saturday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. inside a home in the 29000 block of Ramblewood Drive near 14 Mile and Middlebelt roads, according to police.

A woman told officers that her husband, Holland, was drunk and being aggressive, according to police.
She told officers that she grabbed a gun for self-defense, and Holland grabbed two guns, firing shots into the ceiling, the walls and toward her, according to police.

After Holland fired the shots, the woman ran out of the house, according to police.
Officials tried to de-escalate the situation, but Holland refused to come out of the house, according to police.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office SWAT team eventually went into the home after getting a search warrant and arrested Holland in connection with the shooting, according to police.
There were no injuries in the incident, according to police.
"I am extremely proud of the heroic actions of the women and men of the Farmington Hills Police Department, Farmington Hills Police Chief Jeff King said in a statement. "They were calm and courageous in the face of danger and were able to expertly de-escalate a violent situation that could have resulted in great harm to those involved, as well as the neighboring community." Chief King also expressed gratitude to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office for their assistance."
