Storm Knocks Out Power to 4600 Farmington Area DTE Customers

DTE Energy estimates power will be restored by Monday, 11:30 p.m. in most areas.

UPDATE: More than 4,600 Farmington and Farmington Hills residents lost power Sunday night in the wake of high winds and a strong storm that blew through southeast Michigan.

A DTE map shows huge swaths of neighborhoods across the two cities affected by power outages including:

  • More than 3,000 customers south of 11 Mile Road and north of Nine Mile Road and Grand River, between Farmington and Middlebelt Roads
  • 436 customers east of Farmington Road and south of Grand River
  • 800 customers north and south of Shiawassee, between Hawthorne and Power
  • 705 customers north and south of 13 Mile Road, between Halsted and Drake 
  • 143 customers south of 13 Mile and west of Middlebelt
  • 139 customers south of Grand River and east of Randall Street
By Monday morning, DTE Energy restoration range from 11:30 p.m. Monday to 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. 

A high wind warning remains in effect across much of southeast Michigan through 5 a.m. Monday.
