Shhh! Do you hear it? It's the sound of a dog whisperer coming to town.

Canine to Five in Ferndale will offer a four-week, group obedience course with instructor Brian Walsh of Walsh’s K9 beginning April 23.

"I am an animal behaviorist first, and a dog trainer second," says Walsh, who is a graduate of Animal Behavior College based in Santa Clarita, CA.

"Brian's become my go-to trainer for my dog Maddie, and has helped us with a bunch of her behavioral issues," Kate Grace Bacheller wrote on the Ferndale Patch Facebook page. "He takes a 'Dog Whisperer' approach to training/rehab and is a huge win for the city of Ferndale (lots of dogs up in here)."
