GP Council Approves Sign for El's Boutique

The boutique featuring accessories and targeting tweens will soon have its own sign in the Village after the City of Grosse Pointe council approved the request Monday.

, a division of the long-standing , will soon have its own signage on Kercheval Avenue after the owner sought and received approval from the council.

In addition to offering accessories, jewelry and room decor, El's offers such items as locker decor, crafts, iPad and iPhone covers and more. While it is geared to the tween market, Durand told Patch for a previous story a lot of the merchandise is appropriate for women even into adulthood.

The new sign will be on the wall of her building between the two display windows that she uses to show off new and featured merchandise.

The city's contracted city planner, John Jackson, reviewed the site plan and signage request and recommended that council approve the request, which they did Monday.
