Here are her answers.

What does your business offer? 

We offer many styles of Massage Therapy including Swedish and Deep Tissue. We also offer Shiatsu, Thai Massage, Yin Yoga , Senior Yoga, Core Yoga and most recently Structural Integration. We are very happy to be able to help people feel more freedom in their movement, feel more relaxed, and be freer from pain. 
We use hydrotherapy (moist heat packs and hot towels) and aromatherapy at no extra charge.

What's your most popular product or service? 

Our most popular service is the 1 hour Swedish/Deep Tissue combo massage. It serves to both relax the client as well as loosen up tight areas in the body.

What's a fact about your business that most customers probably don't know?

That all our employees are W-2 employees, receive health care, paid time off, paid holidays, a great wage and base pay whether they have clients or not. 

When was the business founded?

Jan. 1986

How did your business come to be? 

I was the single mom of a 3 year old boy, and I was very interested in holistic health. I wanted to make a living at something I believed in, but couldn't go to school for an extended period of time. I woke up in the middle of the night and wrote a list of all the career choices I could think of. The next morning Massage Therapy stood out as the best choice and later that week I was in Massage School. As my business grew I hired some fellow Massage Therapists to help handle the load.

Why did you choose the area you did?

My first "office" was out of my house on Bedford near Mack in Detroit. It was just natural that a lot of Grosse Pointers became my clients. I subsequently moved my business to E. Warren, then to Jefferson in the Park, then to the Hill and then back to the Park in 2004 where I was able to purchase the building we are currently in.
