There are several events happening this week in the Grosse Pointes.

Here are a few of the highlights from events scheduled this week in Grosse Pointe:
1. The Grosse Pointe Woods city council will meet Monday beginning at 7:30 p.m. According to the agenda, the council will discuss the following:
- the 2012/13 fiscal year budget, for which officials are holding the public hearing
- a Monteith cub scout camp out at Lake Front Park
After the council meeting, the city council will reconvene as the committee of the whole. According to that agenda, the committee will discuss the following:

- planning commission vacancies
- Americans with Disabilities Act upgrades to Cook Schoolhouse
2. The council will meet Monday beginning at 7 p.m. According to the agenda, the council will discuss:
- the 2012/13 fiscal year budget, and changes as a result of last week's public hearing
- water rates
- a site plan review for signage at Village Toy Company
- adoption of an ordinance regulating fireworks
- rejection of grass cutting bids
3. The city council will hold a special meeting Tuesday beginning at 7 p.m. An agenda was not available.

4. The will meet Monday beginning at 6 p.m. for a work session. According to the agenda, the board will discuss:
- budgeting documents
- staffing and program planning
- discussions realted to state revenue
The board will then begin meeting at 7 p.m. for the normal meeting. According to that agenda, the board will discuss:
- a variety of policy changes, including student discipline, public attendance of school events and more
- layoffs for non-instructional staff
- a cell phone bid
- renovation of the Grosse Pointe South High School greenhouse
- a resolution for technology
5. The Grosse Pointe Woods Mayor's Mack Avenue Business Study Committee will meet Wednesday beginning at 6:30 p.m. According to the agenda, the committee will continue its discussion related to Mack Avenue right of way issues.
