
This past weekend at Immanuel Lutheran, Fred Kressbach (8th grade teacher) was honored as he celebrated 25 years in the ministry of teaching. Fred was honored with a statuette from the Michigan District of the LC-MS. Bruce Braun (Superintendent of the Michigan District Lutheran Schools) said: "Fred's creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching is well known around the district, and we pray that creativity and enthusiasm may always continue."
Rev. Greg S. Griffith said of Fred, "We are blessed to know Fred as one of our excellent staff members here at Immanuel, he is one of many bright lights in our community in which he not only seeks to educate each child with earthly knowledge, but primarily seeks to educate each with eternal knowledge of Jesus."
Following the 10:45 service, was a light reception for Fred, where he was greeted by former students from as far away as Dearborn, where Fred began his career at Emmanuel, Dearborn. Fred shared: "It is overwhelming to see the outpouring of love and celebration within the family of Christ here at Immanuel, I am truly honored."

Fred has taught at Immanuel for 13 years, and was instrumental in beginning annual class trips to Washington D.C., as well as preparing students to excel in Literature and writing. His students frequently finish well in the America and Me contests. Fred is married to Debbie Kressbach, and has three sons.
