Information in this crime brief was provided by the Macomb County Sheriff's Office. Where arrests apply, they do not indicate convictions.

An 18-year-old Dakota High School student was arrested Tuesday for selling marijuana treats, referred to as weed edibles, to students at the Macomb Township school, police said Thursday.Â
A teacher saw students passing around caramel corn that smelled of marijuana, leading the school resource officer, who is a Macomb County Sheriff's deputy, to investigate, according to the Sheriff's Office. Â
The items were traced back to a senior who had a gallon-sized Ziploc bag in his backpack. The bag contained three individually packaged so-called treats that were labeled S'mores, Fruity Treat and Loopy Treat, the Sheriff's Office states.Â
