Shelby Township Man, 42, Dies of Heart Attack While Golfing in Oakland Township
The man collapsed at Blackheath Golf Club Sunday morning and later died at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester Hills.
A 42-year-old Shelby Township man died Sunday after he suffered an apparent heart attack Sunday morning at in Oakland Township.
Kevin Joseph James collapsed while playing a round of golf with a friend around 9:30 a.m., according to an Oakland County Sheriff's Office report. Emergency crews who responded to the scene found the 42-year-old lying in a sand trap.
According to the report, James was experiencing chest pain in the morning before he collapsed. His wife said she had given him an aspirin before he left to play golf, said Oakland County Sheriff's Detective David Bach.

James was transported to Crittenton Hospital in Rochester Hills, where he was treated and later died. The Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office is expected to release autopsy results some time Monday, Bach said.
