Trespasser Breaks into Paint Creek Cider Mill; Thieves Steal Vehicle, Jewelry

The following information was supplied by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Substation in Oakland Township.

A township employee reported Saturday morning that someone had broken a window on the creek side of the during the night. The entry door was slightly ajar, indicating that someone had made entry into the building, according to a sheriff's office report. The employee was not sure whether anything was missing.

Van stolen from residence

A resident on Southacre Lane reported his mother's Dodge Caravan stolen Monday evening after he noticed the vehicle missing, according to a sheriff's office report. The resident said he may have left the keys in the vehicle at the time of the theft.

License plate stolen from motorcycle

A resident reported the license plate from his Yamaha motorcycle missing Tuesday after he spent part of the day riding his motorcycle around the county, according to a sheriff's office report. The resident said he is not sure whether the license plate fell off or was stolen.

Jewelry stolen from home

A resident on Gunn Road reported Monday that someone had stolen several jewelry items from a bedroom in the home sometime in the past few months, according to a sheriff's office report. Among stolen items were several necklaces, gold charms, gold crosses and several gold rings — including a gold wedding band, diamond engagement ring, opal ring and several other rings set with precious or semiprecious gems, the report said.
