Vandals Hit Marsh View Park Again; Payroll Check Cashed Twice

Park vandalized again
Just a few weeks after the township issued a plea for residents' help following , was again the target of vandals Thursday, according to a sheriff's office report.
A park employee reported damage to the storage garage at the park that included a broken window and damage to the siding and door. The dents in the siding and garage door "appeared to be from stones being thrown at them," according to the deputy's observation in the report.

Wedding ring stolen from home
A resident on Invitational Drive reported her wedding ring stolen after she left it in her son's room, according to a sheriff's office report.

The resident reported that six other children ranging in age from 5-11 years old were in the room playing with her son while the ring was still thought to be on a shelf in the same room. The next day, the resident discovered the ring was gone.
The resident called each child's parents after searching her home, but she was unable to locate the ring.
Employee paycheck cashed twice
An employee of a heating company on Dequindre Road in Oakland Township reported that a $949.99 payroll check and the payroll check that had been reissued to replace the original check were cashed after a former employee stated he did not receive the first check, according to a sheriff's office report.
After the employee found out the former employee was arrested for a parole violation, she checked the company's bank account and discovered that both checks had been cashed, according to the report.
It was not known if the former employee cashed both checks.
