5. Spider-Man swings into Penn Theatre

Andrew Garfield stars in The Amazing Spider-Man, wrapping up its run at the Penn Theatre tonight in downtown Plymouth. There is one showtime at 7 p.m. All seats are $3. The film is rated PG-13 and runs 136 minutes.

4. Restaurant Week comes to downtown Plymouth on Friday

Ten downtown restaurants will show off signature dishes starting Sept. 28 for Downtown Plymouth's Restaurant Week, which runs through Oct. 7. No tickets are required, but meals run between $15-35.

3. This weekend: Run for the Rouge 

There will be a 5K trail run/walk along the Lower Rouge Trails in Canton to help support Friends of the Rouge.  Advance registration $25, $30 the day of the event (the deadline has passed to guarantee a t-shirt). Prizes will be awarded to male and female first, second and third places for seven different age categories. Day-of registration opens at 8 a.m. at Connections Church, 3855 South Sheldon Road, Canton.

Volunteers also are needed to help with the run. Registration information is available on the event website.
