Canton College Student Competes for $1 Million on America's Got Talent
Steve Price, a 19-year-old MSU student from Canton, builds Rube Goldberg machines.

Who ever thought that a combination of dominos, light bulbs and hot wheels could ever lead to a chance to win $1 million?
But that is exactly what it's done for 19-year-old Steve Price, a mechanical engineering student at Michigan State University from Canton. Price, going by the stage name 'Sprice,' is currently competing in NBC's 8th Season of "America's Got Talent."
Price builds Rube Goldberg machines - a complicated series of chain reactions that complete a single task. Goldberg was a cartoonist, sculptor, author, engineer and inventor, known for making the complex gadgets that perform simple tasks in convoluted ways.
Price has been building the machines and putting them on his YouTube channel for six years, according to The State News.
Producers of the show saw the videos, which have more than 1 million views, and asked him to audition for the show. Now he competes for a chance to advance to the semifinals.
Price, who normally builds his machines out of his parents basement, rented a warehouse in order to have enough space to build the machine for Tuesday's episode, Click on Detroit reported.
Judges told Price on the show that while the machines and his precision work is amazing, his lack of energy and excitement may eliminate him from the running.
