Recently, employees from global automotive supplier Constellium's Van Buren plant participated in raising funds in person and virtually for St. Judes as part of the nonprofit's recent Detroit run. Five Constellium employees, plus two employee children attended the run in person, and nine employees attended the event virtually. The team raised funds through the company team website and from matching funds donated by Constellium. In total, the team raised $1890 for St. Judes.

An ongoing initiative of its U.S. sites, Constellium CARES, has dedicated teams at each U.S. Constellium work site that choose among employee suggestions for community projects. The event was personal for many of the Van Buren employees, especially Dennis McGill who survived childhood cancer.

“When I was five I was hospitalized, and I swore that I would always be there for any other kid who ended up in the same situation, ” stated Dennis McGill, 2nd Shift Crib Attendant at Constellium Van Buren.
