Constellium Van Buren wins Going PRO Talent Funding

The State of Michigan Going PRO Talent Fund assists employers in training, developing, and retaining current and newly hired employees.

Constellium ASNA (Automotive Structures North America) Van Buren was awarded $55,509 from the state of Michigan for Fiscal Year 2023 training and development efforts through Michigan’s Going PRO Talent Fund.

The Going PRO Talent Fund is a program through the Southeast Michigan Community Alliance (SEMCA), a branch of the Michigan Works! Program, and the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO) Workforce Development. The State of Michigan established the Going PRO Talent Fund to assist employers in the training, developing, and retaining of current and newly hired employees.

“I’m excited that we were awarded the full requested amount from the Michigan Going PRO Talent Fund,” said Brian Stavola, the ASNA Training and Development Specialist who spearheaded the application process. “This will help propel ASNA’s Training and Development efforts as we continue to focus on the development of our workforce. I look forward to making this an annual achievement for the Company and to continue making Constellium a workplace we are proud to work for.”

Training through this award must help employees gain credentials for transferable skills recognized by the industry that the company serves. Constellium plans to use a portion of the award for maintenance training, while the remainder will go towards other training requested by Constellium’s staff.
