Country Music Star Plays Record Setting MI Concert

The show was the first concert to headline the Big House, which is home to the Michigan Wolverines college football team.

ANN ARBOR, MI — Country music star Zach Bryan played in front of 112,408 fans at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor on Saturday night, making it the largest attended ticketed concert in U.S. history, according to event organizers.

John Mayer and Michigan country duo, the War and Treaty, joined Bryan for the record setting seven-hour show at the Big House. Other opening acts included Keenan O’Meara, Joshua Slone and Ryan Bingham and The Texas Gentlemen

In addition to the attendance, the show also saw $5 million in merchandise sales, also a record, organizers said.

The show was the first concert to headline the Big House, which is home to the Michigan Wolverines college football team. The Big House is also the largest stadium in the U.S. and the third largest in the world.

The previous U.S. concert record was set by country musician George Strait, who played for 110,905 at Texas A&M’s Kyle Field in 2024.
