Delta Kappa Gamma-Another Successful Spring Luncheon/Fashion Show
DKG Suppports Many in the Community
DELTA KAPPA GAMMA (DKG) HAS ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL SPRING LUNCHEON/FASHION SHOW
Delta Kappa Gamma is a professional honor society of women educators who have made a difference in the lives of students, teachers and others in our community. Active members are women who are employed as professional educators or who have retired from an educational position. Each spring DKG holds a spring luncheon/fashion show as a fund raiser for the many projects DKG supports. The event generates funds for scholarships to high school students planning to become educators, grants for classroom teachers, and financial support for educator’s professional development. Scholarship winners were introduced, and previous winners spoke about their experiences and what the scholarships have meant to them. There were also drawings for prizes, donated by members in the community. It was a wonderful event, enjoyed by all who attended and most importantly, resulted in helping so many others in our community.
In December we will have a Holiday Gala Fundraiser which will be held this year at Antonio’s in Canton, December 5, 2025. All are welcomed to attend and the Gala will provide meals and gift cards for local families and children in need, and as funds allow, will support the district’s clothing bank and the Ronald McDonald House. Anyone interested in supporting this event may contact Sandy Baxter: sabaxter@comcast.net.
