Employee's Car Stolen While at Work

Police said the car was stolen from the AVL North America while he was working.

A 30-year-old Clawson man reported his truck stolen on Aug. 8, according to a Plymouth Township police report. 

The man, an employee of AVL North America, told police that he got to work around 2:30 p.m. and had gone outside throughout the day on breaks. The man said around 8:15 p.m., a co-worker told him that his truck was missing from the west side of the parking lot, the report said. 

The dark blue 1992 Ford F-150 was missing from the lot, with broken glass on the ground where it had been parked, according to the report.

Tires stolen

A man on Farmbrook Drive reported the tires stolen off his car sometime between Aug. 7 and Aug. 8, according to a police report.

The man told police he parked his car in the driveway, next to his other vehicle, a Jeep. When his wife went to leave for work around 7 a.m. on Aug. 8, she noticed all four tires missing off the 2013 Dodge Charger, the report said. 

The man said his daughter heard a sound in middle of night but didn’t look out window, the report said. 

The car was resting on two red garden wall bricks and bricks, which were positioned on the rocker panels. The car was also placed on its front brake rotators causing bending to bottom portion of brakes, the report said.

Police do not know where the bricks came from, the report said. And all twenty lug nuts for the wheels were found scattered throughout the yard.

The wheels stock, chrome aluminum wheels with Goodyear tires, valued at $1,500 for all four, the report said.
