Golf Cart Accident Leaves Girl With A Broken Leg
A little girl was accidentally hit by a golf cart at an event in Canton's Heritage Park Sunday.
CANTON, MI — A 6-year-old girl suffered a suffered a broken leg and other injuries Sunday after being hit by a golf court at Heritage Park. The driver of the golf cart was a five-year-old girl who accidentally got it moving forward at Canton Lions Football and Cheerleading event. A second girl was also hit, but escaped unharmed.
"We're treating it as an accident," Canton Deputy Police Chief Chad Baugh said.
“The golf cart was heading toward the Heritage Park pavilion when a 48-year-old club member noticed it, tried to stop it and grabbed the 3-year-old girl from the passenger seat. The cart then hit the two girls before coming to a stop.”
