Michigan Football Fires Head Coach Sherrone Moore
Moore, who replaced Jim Harbaugh, went 18-8 as the team's coach.

ANN ARBOR, MI — Michigan football fired Head Coach Sherrone Moore with cause on Wednesday, the team announced.
"Following a University investigation, credible evidence was found that Coach Moore engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member," the school wrote in a statement. "This conduct constitutes a clear violation of University policy, and U-M maintains zero tolerance for such behavior."
The team announced Biff Poggi as interim coach.

Moore just finished his second season and lead the Wolverines to a 9-3 record. They finished No. 18 in the College Football Playoff rankings. They will play the Texas Longhorns in Cheez-It Citrus Bowl on New Year’s Eve.
