More I-275 Construction Work In Wayne County, Expect Major Delays
Traffic on Interstate 275 in Wayne County is about to get even worst for the next couple of weeks.
PLYMOUTH-CANTON, MI — Traffic on Interstate 275 is about to get even worst for the next couple of weeks.
Starting 9 a.m. Wednesday, the southbound lanes on the freeway between Eureka and 6 Mile roads will be reduced to just one lane, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.
The same thing will happen to the northbound lanes between Eureka Road and Interstate 96/Michigan 14 starting Thursday at 6:30 a.m.

Both the northbound and southbound lanes on the freeway were expected to open back up to two lanes in each direction sometime in mid-December, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.
The work is part of the Interstate 275 rebuilding project, which officials say the total project is a little more than halfway done.
