Plymouth Fourth Of July Parade: What To Know

This year's parade will feature new additions, as well as favorite traditions from past years, according to city officials.

PLYMOUTH, MI — The Plymouth Good Morning USA Parade returns to Plymouth's Main Street at 9 a.m. on Thursday.

The parade starts just south of the railroad tracks on Main Street by Bode’s and will end at Hartsough Street by Dairy-Go-Round. Main Street will be closed along the parade route, but attendees can assemble along the sidewalks before the parade starts. Public parking is available in lots in the downtown area and side streets.

This year's parade will also have new additions, including a 25-foot Uncle Sam Balloon, four carnival acts, five musical performers/bands, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Mounted Divison and even hula dancers.

Parade favorites, such as the Michigan Wheelman on their antique bikes, Santa Claus, vintage cars and a robot from our high schools’ Robotics Team will also be there.

Officials will also honor veterans from WWII, Korea, Vietnam and members of the VFW. Officials asked families to honor the veterans along the parade route by applauding and holding up signs thanking them for their service.
