Plymouth Township Bank Robbery Suspect to Undergo Psych Exam

Michael James Stachowski faces bank robbery charges for the July 26 Bank of America robbery.

Michael James Stachowski, the 33-year-old suspect in the Plymouth Township bank robbery on July 26, was ordered to undergo a psychological evaluation in order to determine competency for trial, The Observer & Eccentric reported

Stachowski, a Canton resident, faces bank robbery charges after the Bank of America robbery last month. The bank located at Beck and 5 Mile Roads. 

Police said Stachowski waited in line at the bank, then handed a teller a note stating he wanted all the money and the teller's wallet, and not to put any dye packs in the bag. 

Stachowski pled not guilty to the charges. 

Stachowski will undergo the examination at the state's Center for Forensic Psychiatry in Ypsilanti and is due back in court on Nov. 22, according to the Observer & Eccentric.
