Plymouth-Canton Schools After-School Activities Cancelled Due to Heat

Both high school and middle school outdoor activities have been cancelled.

Plymouth-Canton Community Schools has cancelled athletic competitions and practices due to the heat index.

Multiple heat index readings have been taken from the outdoor instructional spaces at the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park complex. A combination of conditions have resulted in temperature and relative humidity reaching the level of 105 degrees (Fahrenheit), which is the benchmark used for the cancellation of outdoor activities.

High school outdoor co-curricular activities have also been cancelled. Middle school outdoor co-curricular activities scheduled after school have also been cancelled.
