August 6th is primary election day. The League of Women Voters can help you make your candidate choices by providing non-partisan information at its on line voter guide: VOTE411. View the candidates’ unedited responses to League questions and compare your options. Simply type in your home address, and the races on your ballot will appear with the candidate information. VOTE411 is your one-stop shop for election information, allowing you to check your voting registration, find your polling place, and learn about dropbox locations and early voting.

Additionally, the League hosted 3 candidate forms for local candidates. View the recordings for the candidates running for Plymouth Township Supervisor and Board of Trustees as well as the Canton Township Board of Trustees at the League’s website: LWVnorthwestwayne.

Primary elections give you a chance to vote for your favorite candidate, a chance you don’t get in the general election if they don’t win the primary. Voter turnout in primaries is historically lower than the general, so don’t allow a minority of voters to make your candidate decisions for you.
