Lane Closures Coming To Michigan Ave. In Canton Township: What To Know
The road work is expected to last through July, according to township officials.

CANTON TOWNSHIP, MI — Multiple lanes on Michigan Avenue in Canton Township will be closed this spring/summer for road work, according to township officials.
Construction crews will close down the right lane and the shoulder's in both directions on Michigan Avenue between Haggerty and Hannan roads at the Interstate 275 interchange on April 15, according to township officials.
The right-turn lane on westbound Michigan Avenue at Haggerty Road will also be closed for road work, according to township officials.

Traffic in the area will be detoured to northbound Lilly Road and then eastbound Palmer Road to Haggerty Road, according to township officials.
There will also be a temporary pedestrian crosswalk at Haggerty Road where the construction work is happening, according to township officials.

Crews will be improving signals, crosswalks, ramps and sidewalks in the area, according to township officials.
Officials also advised drivers that crews will occasionally stop traffic between Haggerty and Hannan roads to pull wires across the road.
