In 1954, Congress changed the name to Veterans Day……. A day to honor and recognize all of the veterans in the United States. They served, so that we may be free.

We recognize all of our nation's veterans, for their sacrifices and leadership, to keep the doors of freedom open to all mankind. The greatest gift we can offer our veterans and those currently serving,
is our prayers.
