Where To See Santa In Plymouth-Canton This Christmas Season

PLYMOUTH-CANTON, MI — Santa Claus will be back in Plymouth-Canton this holiday season after a couple of years of COVID-19 restrictions that made it difficult for kids to crawl up on his lap and make their case that they’ve been good boys and girls over the last year.

Visits and pictures with Santa are at the heart of many families’ holiday traditions, but the coronavirus pandemic gave them a lump of coal. Malls and other places took social distancing measures in both 2020 and 2021 to help contain the spread of the virus, moving Santa meet-ups largely online.

Virtual visits are still an option in many places, but there’s nothing quite like seeing jolly old St. Nick live and in person. In Plymouth-Canton, kids have several chances:

• Santa's Plymouth Parade, Downtown Plymouth (Kellogg Park, 777 W. Ann Arbor Tr.) on Nov. 25 at 5:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Santa will be escorted by a Fire Truck and visit ten different city parks including Kellogg Park.

Magician Joel Tacey will be in Kellogg Park at 5:30 p.m. to entertain the crowd, as Santa begins his trip around town at 5:45 p.m. starting in Old Village. City vehicles will join the parade and hold a short tree lighting ceremony at each of the parks Santa visits, including lighting the holiday tree in Kellogg Park.

• Christmas in the Village, Village Arts Factory at 50755 Cherry Hill Road, on Dec. 3 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event features live musical performances, food trucks and photo opportunities with Santa and Mrs. Claus (by appointment only between 4 and 5 p.m. Register here or at Cantonfun.org.)
• Photos with Santa at Maybury Farm, located at 50165 Eight Mile Rd, Northville, on Saturdays and Sundays on Dec. 3, 4, 10 and 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Get tickets here.
