What does your business offer? 

Write Impressions specializes in all things paper - from journals, personalized stationery sets, invitations for any type of occasion and wonderful gifts. Most people think of our store for wedding invitations - but we do a lot of events for corporate parties, baby and bridal showers and children birthday parties. Our gift department receives accolades too ... "best store for stocking stuffers" ... "always shop here for something outside the box" ... "love your baby gift ideas" are things we hear every single day.

Our award winning selection of Greeting Cards usually brings people into the store .... or they need invitations for a special occasion.

What's a fact about your business that most customers probably don't know?

We have two in-house talented graphic designers on staff that can create just about anything that you can envision ... with time and money, just about anything is possible. AND that we shop in New York City to bring the latest and greatest to downtown Royal Oak.

When was the business founded?

September, 1989

How did your business come to be? 

I worked as the front end operations manager at Holiday Market for 6 years after college. Decided it was time to do something for myself. I always loved ordering the greeting cards, gift wrap and speciality gifts for Holiday Market. And as a child, I couldn't have enough paper, stickers and pens.

Why did you choose the area you did?

Royal Oak was a natural choice for me - I love being part of the downtown community. The older buildings, the architecture, the other businesses and the people - all make Royal Oak a wonderful walkable and shopable community.
