Trump Rally Monday At Duggan’s Irish Pub In Royal Oak

"Michigan Trump Republicans" will hold a rally on Monday in Royal Oak.

ROYAL OAK, MI — Supporters of President Donald Trump will be holding a rally, of sorts, Monday at Duggan’s Irish Pub in Royal Oak. The meeting, which will run from 6-7 p.m. at the Woodward Avenue pub, is being conducted by the “Michigan Trump Republicans.” Seven other similar events are planned by the group around the state through early September.

The theme of the meetings is pretty straight forward, according to the Michigan Trump Republican website. “We are bunch of Trump-loving Americans who are sick and tired of the political establishment and the political machine that is always focused on tearing our President and his agenda down,” the group writes on their “our story” page. “They focus on everything else EXCEPT for the hard working taxpayers and voters. We are nothing special. Trump and what he stands for is special to us.”

U.S. Senate candidate Lena Epstein, State Senator Patrick Colbeck, and Republican National Committee convention delegate Meshawn Maddock, are among those scheduled to speak at the Royal Oak Trump meeting, according to a Royal Oak Daily Tribune report.

A specific agenda for the meeting isn’t listed on the Michigan Trump Republican website. But a statement on the site seems to make their intentions clear.

“Learn how you can get involved to help fight back against the fake news and the establishment that wants to bring down our great President,” the site reads under a headline that states, “Stand By His Side With Us!”

The meetings, which will also be held in Livonia, Battle Creek and Muskegon, among others, are to give Trump supporters “talking points directly from the White House that will embolden you to speak up and defend President Trump!”

The meeting is free to attend for the public. But the group requires registration, which can be completed at http://www.michigantrumprepublicans.com/home.html
