Work is under way to transform the former Margarita's Mexican Restaurant in Berkley into a T-Mobile store. Berkley City Planner Amy Vansen said the project is targeted for completion before the <a href="http://www.woodwarddreamcruise.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Woodward Dream Cruise</a> on Aug. 17. The Woodward Avenue property was purchased in September 2011 by Kevin Denha, who owns several T-Mobile franchises throughout Metro Detroit, from previous owner Luis Gomez. It since has been vacant.
