Hear Tales of Wicked Washtenaw County Sunday

Want to know more about the darkest and grisliest stories in Washtenaw County? Author James Mann, author of Wicked Washtenaw County — Strange Tales of the Grisly and Unexplained, will present a program about the county's dark and sordid history at 2 p.m. Sunday in the

The program is presented by the Saline Area Historical Society.

Mann's program will entertain with stories of body snatching, murder, strangulation, a burial under cornhusks and various other intriguing cases.

Mann is a local history author and columnist.

Education Programs are always free and open to the public; light refreshments will be served.

The program will be preceded by the Society’s annual meeting, a short business meeting with an opportunity for members to vote on a slate of nominees for the position of directors. The nominees running for directorship are Douglas Elfring, Mary Lirones, Leo Babcock, and Jim Roth, with each filling a 3-year term.

There is a vacancy for the remainder of David Rhoads' two-year term.
