Kindergarten Registration and Information Night Event March 1

Parents who want to register their children in kindergarten are invited to attend an information and registration night March 1.

Parents who wish to enroll their child in kindergarten at are invited to attend a registration and enrollment night from 6-8:30 p.m. March 1 at .

Saline Area Schools has moved to all-day kindergarten this year.

Parents unable to attend the registration and information night can register their child after March 1 at the district office at Liberty School, which is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday-Friday.

To register a child for kindergarten, a parent is required to bring proof of residency, the original birth certificate and the most recent immunization records with a vision screening verification. Parents can find more information in a kindergarten registration packet that can be downloaded from the school district's website.

All children who attend will receive a Saline Hornets backpack.

The event is the first of three important dates kindergarten parents should remember. May 10, , and elementary schools will host building orientation programs for incoming kindergarten students and their parents. That program starts at 6:30.
On Aug. 8 and Aug. 21, there will be kindergarten screening at the same three schools.
