The trip, which runs Sept 25-28, includes accommodations at the Grand Hotel, five-course meals, carriage tours,

Pittsfield Township Parks and Recreation is offering area residents a unique opportunity to travel to Mackinac Island in grand style. The department’s “Grand Experience” trip is an all-inclusive, discount travel package for travelers ages 50 and up, complete with exciting events, accommodations at the luxurious Grand Hotel, five-course meals, carriage tours, cocktail receptions, shopping discounts and more!

Celebrating its 45th anniversary, the Grand Experience is presented in partnership with Pittsfield Township Parks & Recreation, the Michigan Recreation and Park Association and Grand Hotel. This trip is designed for residents ages 50 and up to enjoy the best of Mackinac Island at a greatly reduced, all-inclusive rate.

The Pittsfield Township Grand Experience trip will take place Sept. 25-28. Bus transportation is provided by Pittsfield Township – all accommodations, transportation, events, meals, taxes and gratuities are included in the trip cost, which is $689 per person, based on double occupancy. Traveling outside of the Grand Experience, this trip would cost more than $900 for the hotel alone, not including ferry and taxi costs, luggage tickets, meals, events, activities and gas to drive to Mackinac City.
