Primary Results: Romney Carries Saline

Romney carried all three city precincts and was also the big winner when absentee ballots were counted.

Romney won the city's first precinct with 46 percent of the votes. Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum received 36 percent of the vote. Voter turnout was 16.1 percent in the first precinct.

The second precinct was much closer, with Romney taking 42 percent of the votes and Santorum getting 41 percent of the votes. Voter turnout was 10.6 percent in the second precinct.

Voter turnout was 13.5 percent in the third precinct, with Romney taking 46 percent of the votes and Santorum taking 40 percent of the votes.

Romney dominated the absentee voting, taking 53 percent of the votes. Santorum received 23 percent of the vote. Gingrich received 11 percent of the vote.

Saline was the first city in Washtenaw to submit its final totals to Washtenaw County.
